The present St Vincent’s School Orchestra was formed in early 2011 under the direction of Cello teachers Mary Barnecutt and Anne Murnaghan.  The orchestra attracts members from all year groups within the school, including beginner, intermediate and advanced players. We are grateful for the commitment of our advanced players, whose contributions greatly enhance the musical experience of the entire orchestra. We are also appreciative of our beginner and intermediate players who have worked tirelessly to prepare for concerts.
 

Membership of the Orchestra is open to those with an interest, an instrument and knowledge of basic Music theory. Members attend a weekly lunchtime rehearsal and occasional extra rehearsals.
